The summer of 1899 begins with death, and ends all the same. When Albus Dumbledore is pulled from Hogwarts in his final weeks at the precipice of a world tour he is dragged back to the reality of Godrics Hollow to care for his sister Ariana, believed to be a 'squib' by the Wizarding folk of the town. Bleakness quells Dumbledores dreams of greatness until one fateful day when Bathilda Bagshots nephew arrives at the front door, starting a spiral of curiousity, infatuation and love that leads to disaster. "You cannot imagine how his ideas caught me, Harry, inflamed me. Muggles forced into subservience. We wizards triumphant. Grindelwald and I, the glorious young leaders of the revolution." - Albus Dumbledore
