Toxicity addiction

Marceline gets out of a really toxic relationship and has a hard time dating and being more open towards guys when going on dates. Adi has had a crush on Marceline for a long time and wants to get closer to her and be more then friends and prove to her that he won't be the same as her ex and be toxic and make her feel horrible about herself. Will he get closer to her? Or will he get farther away from her to the point were they aren't even friends anymore.
