Rylan's life isn't the best. In fact it's quite horrible. She has a lot of shit going on and it is certainly unpleasant to anyone not used to her lifestyle.
Rylan's current guardian is abusive, and that sums it up pretty much. As abusive as ones guardian can be, which is considerably abusive when the abuser is constantly drunk, high or on any other influential substance twenty-four/seven. And for the abusee, Rylan in this case, day to day life only gets harder as time goes on and she is really struggling now.
One unfortunate event for most but fortunate for Rylan, led to her finding out some interesting news. She had to move in with some unfamiliar men, who claim to be family; funny thing though, Rylan claims to have no relatives left alive.
