It's All Dark Out There

The door was wide open , when she entered , her home was a mess, there were drops of blood here and there . Selene's heart skipped a beat , she slowly called, "Mom !! Dad!!"...." MOM !! DAD!!"...there was no response . She knew something wrong had happened . Words were struggling in her throat , she couldn't feel her legs . She searched everywhere for them , she was trembling in fear . She shouted as much as she could , nobody came . The loud noise of thunder and the splatter of rain is the only noise around her . She sat on the floor , tears struggling out of her eyes , she can hear her heartbeat in her ears . Questions flashed her mind , Where are they? What happened to them? What's with this blood on the floor ? I should find them , I can't sit here and weep.
