The Quickhall Mercenary Association has been connecting clients with hired hitmen and acquisitors for almost a century, but they haven't had a job this big since... well, ever. 

Enina is living day by day, working with what little money she gets from jobs and struggling to keep up with the rent for her apartment. Ever since the food poisoning fiasco that lost her a job cooking for one of the best restaurants in the Nation of Eriadrin, life's been tough. But when she's approached by a fairy with a proposition, all that could change - but can she trust him? What about all she'd be risking? She takes the job, hoping she might find someone from her past, but finds someone else instead - someone she'd been all too eager to forget. 

Dusty's life has been anything but idealistic ever since he left his hometown in the forest, following nothing but his dreams of exploring the world. Sure, the first year was alright, but when the library he was working for closed down and he set out in pursuit of a questionable job offer, things took a turn for the worse. Now that he's finally escaped the darkest year of his life, Dusty's been taking jobs and trying to save up the money to go visit his family. Unfortunately, money's been running a little short recently. They are driven to the woods and they build a small hut in the dense forest, barely living from day to day, but peacefully. That is, until the town's leader gathers enough men to track Ivy, and take her back to the village to be burned. Evelyn knows that she'll be next - being the only descendant of Ivy. She packs up her few belongings and gallops deeper and deeper into the woods until her eyelids fall, causing her to lose control of the horse, fall off of it and into a black abyss. When Evelyn wakes up, there are two midnight blue eyes staring back at her. Where is she? How did she get there? Why can't she remember anything? What is her name? Why does her head hurt so much?
