Dalma's king Noa is a ruthless, troubled man. He spends more time in the dungeon than on his throne. His daughter, princess Petra, has taken an opportunity on her 18th birthday to run away from her sadistic father. Natan, the king of Dugodol, was abducted by king Noa as a 15 year old, he spent years in the king's dungeon but now, 10 years later, he's been free for some time and he's returned to Dalma with the ferocity of a man looking for revenge. Petra and Natan are on the journey to pick up the pieces of their broken lives and make a new, happier picture. Petra is exploring her newly earned freedom, who she is, what she wants to do in her life and how to atone for atrocities she was ordered to do. Natan is learning how to be a good king while his enemies never sleep. But who needs enemies when your own head and history is messing with you? The story is set in post-apocalyptic, supernatural 24th century Europe. It's not a lovey-dovey story. It has extreme violence - physical, sexual, psychological and economical. Please tread carefully. I won't give any heads up through the book.
