Cari and her brother Casimir are orphans, living in the most colorless and drab of schools. On the oddest of days, class A-7 is dragged along to a school outing. Lacking the funding of the other schools, Matron takes them to the only factory she can find. The black mysterious smoke puffing factory on the hill... the rumors that come with it would be enough to keep any sane man awake at night.... As far as anyone knows, no one has ever seen its manager or stepped foot through its doors... or at least done that and lived to tell about it. But its that, or risk Matrons wrath,  which would be very unadvisable.  Unbeknownst to Cari, Casmimir, and the other ophans, they were about to find hearts breaking, magic, and the answers to mysteries they didn't know they were are part of.
