Harper Jones is a typical girl who is a daughter of a huge CEO and is 23 years old. She likes many things such as working at her dad's company and painting in her spare time. She is kind hearted person with a dark past that she would like to forget, but happens when her past starts catching up to her and she's put in danger.

Damien Smith is the total opposite of Harper and yet so similar, dark, dangerous, mean, all in all your perfect bad boy, but instead of a boy he is a 24 year old man who leads one of the most powerful Mafia's. Everyone is afraid of him and of what he can do. But what happens when two total opposites meet. Will they get along or will they be at each-others necks all the time? What will happen once he finds out about her past?

"Where were you last night" Damien asks

"As if you care" I reply back rolling my eyes at him. All this time he didn't care what I did and who I was with but out of nowhere he does. He starts to as if he cares.

"I do care Harper!" he shouts making me flinch by a fraction from the sudden sound.

"As if, you ever cared. You never cared who I was with or where I going, you never cared what I was doing and if I was alright. So why now, why now?" I ask

" God dammit Harper. I've always cared! Always have and always will! You have no idea how much I care, I try not to, trust me I do but every time I try I start caring a lot more than I did before" Damien says walking closer to me.

"Why? Why do you care so much?" I whisper.

" Because I'm hopelessly in love with you Harper Jones"
