When Lailah Wilde finishes her schooling to become a Psychiatrist she is sent to the Taunton State Hospital in Taunton, Mass. A week before she is scheduled to go into work her boss sends her the list of all the patients she has to care for as well as their profiles. Her one patient, Harry Styles, seems to catch her attention immediately; possibly because he has murdered over 50 people in a brutal and unhuman way.
