Mirny: A Tanker's Nightmare

"So you say... it was like Hell then?" "Nyet. In Hell...in Hell the Devil knows you have done something to deserve the punishment. But, you know, there was a similarity ...it was the most horrible thing I have ever seen in my life."

When in September 1957, in Southwestern Siberia, at the small coal town of Mirny, a Soviet nuclear drilling program goes wrong and unleashes catastrophic, otherworldly, and terrifying consequences that could potentially end the human race, a multi-national team is composed to fight the threat. These unassuming soldiers are operators of the only thing that seems to have any chance against the threat that is posed against them- tanks.

This story is based off the video game World of Tanks and it's Mirny-13 and Mirny: Hope events, and hopes to expand on the "lore" of the catastrophic event at Mirny which the in-game events are based off of. As a disclaimer, I DO NOT own World of Tanks, it's company Wargaming, or any parts of it. However, I wrote this story so I think that does give me some ownership.
