An aspiring actress waiting for her big break, Kya Da Rosa would take just about any job that came her way. That is, until it came in the form of a cringey and stereotypical holiday romance. As one of the predictable and sappy movies she grew up relentlessly making fun of, she reluctantly takes the job, hoping it will give her a future platform for bigger movie deals. She just simply wants to do what she's told and leave with only minor embarrassment.

Charley Warren had finally started climbing his way into the big leagues. Talk show appearances, big-budget projects, and Hollywood fame were at his fingertips. That was, until he screwed up and lost everything. Now, he has to live out his own personal walk of shame and play a role in the very kind of movie he swore he would never do. Hoping it will improve his reputation, he goes along with it, but he resolutely decides to not be happy about it.

At first repelled by the same tropes that brought them together, annoyed Kya and irritable Charley slowly go from a reluctant and unlikely pairing to something, well, more. As their lives start to mimic the same stereotypes that they fervently protest against, feelings begin to change. Although both are unsure where they stand, one thing holds true: this Christmas will be full of classy clichés.
