One day, as the heavenly procession under the sea took place, a young boy plunged into the water, disrupting the show. Everyone shrieked, noticing this must be an inauspicious sign that a human boy was interrupting the merfolks' mid-autumn festival. Yet, the star of the play swam up to the boy, grasping him in his arms, and took him to safety. As he laid him on the shore with a warm smile on his face, the boy began to stir. Through the young boy's blurry vision, he saw a beautiful man with kind eyes and breathtaking radiance. Before he could speak, his savior slipped back into the water, leaving him to wonder about his identity. Little did that mermaid know, the boy searched for him for a very, very, long time.
Author's note: All of these characters are not my own and belong to MXTX's novel, Heaven's Official Blessing (Tian Guan Ci Fu). This fanfiction is very similar to the book, yet adapted to a sea-themed world with mermaids and pirates.
