Everything was normal, Virgil's learned to be normal. It was hard at first, living with a human family on a farm and all, but he got used to it. Even after his adoptive parents passed away, he's learned to live with just Patton, his adopted brother. A few people even knew about his wings, including Logan, Patton's boyfriend! He still has to hide them, but that was okay, it was normal and how it was going to be for the rest of his life, right?
Well, wrong. After a particularly bad run in with some hunters in the woods, he meets a witch that lives out there. Now everything around him is changing, he just doesn't know if it's for the better or the worse.

Patton lives in a world where the first words your soulmate says to you is written on your skin. The permentant presence of the words 'You're in my seat' on his thigh had yet to disappear until his soulmate utters them one day. Deep down he dreaded that day. You see, Patton had no interest in a romantic relationship which was abnormal in a world ruled by the soulmate system. Virgil hated the soulmate system. He hated it because it gave him the words 'well aren't you a ray of sunshine' printed boldly on his forehead. Luckily for him, foundation was his best friend (and his only friend, for that matter). He never showed it, but he longed for the day his soulmate would sweep the aggravating statement off his forehead and him off his feet. Logan, to put it simply, was married to his work. A love interest didn't interest him in the slightest. The only heed he took that the soulmate system existed was the thinly printed 'what did you say?' on his left palm. He heard that statement a lot but the mild annoyance on his hand was yet to disappear. Roman lived up to his name as a big romantic. In his eyes, the soulmate system was the best thing to happen to him, so the fact that the words written on his collarbone were 'go away' really burst his bubble. The thought of spending his life with his 'other half' was enthralling to him, but the fact his dad expected him to settle down with a nice girl was terrifying. Vices and Maces
In a world full of fairies and angels, genies and demons, shapeshifters and dragons, you would expect it to be fantastical and whimsical! And oh how Virgil wished, cause then maybe he wouldn't be stuck in a gang war. It wasn't too bad, at least he wasn't one of the muscle men, he was just a weaponsmith. And he had a friend, sure it was Janus who would constantly mess with him like a younger brother but better than nothing. Especially since years prior he wanted nothing to do with the gang he was in, named Wolfsbane. And even now, he wanted nothing to do with Bleeding Rose, their gang's opponent. Bleeding Rose was run by two men, twins, and there was a bounty on their heads. So of course, Janus goes after them, dragging Virgil into his mess. However, although Bleeding Rose was a young gang, the leaders were not easy to kill. And soon, Janus and Virgil learned they weren't easy to resist either. The two of them find themselves teetering between both of the gangs, trying to not be killed by either, while also evading the police. *completed* Despite being only 17, Virgil's had a horrible life, living in an orphanage and being an outcast at school, and it just got even worse when he's kidnapped by a freaking cult! He thought he was dead for sure when they started sacrificing him to some demon, but apparently the demon chose to serve him since he was the one giving away his blood to summon them. Now he's stuck with a demon named Roman who will take his soul when he dies, yeah, that's probably the worst thing that's happen to him so far. Or so it seemed at first... The Dark Forest

Mal, a dragon witch, lives in the forest with her two sons, Janus and Virgil. Though the three are powerful, Mal made enemies with the fae who have ever since been trying to kidnap Janus for revenge. Luckily, or maybe unfortunately, they ignore Virgil for the most part since he was adopted. When they cross paths with the humans, things get a bit... messy. *Completed* Virgil has never had it easy, not since he was kicked out of his home by his own father. He's struggled to survive, and has fought for food. He sees what should have been an easy meal, some berries on a tree hanging over the river. It should have been easy to get it, of course the stupid branch had to break and he was sent plummeting into the river. Roman loves to sneak away from his colony and his fae duties to head to the river, he's always wondered what is on the other side of it. Of course, he and everyone else in his colony is banned from crossing it. One day though, a stranger with no wings and a tail washes up on the river bank. When he takes him back to the colony, he's put in charge of taking care of him. Thomas has inherited his home from family, it's in the middle of nowhere in a forest. It was nice, and not too far from his home is a nice river he can explore. Of course it can't be so simple though, since Thomas is in debt and could very well lose the home. Not wanting to lose a home that had been in his family for so long, he struggles to find some way to pay it off.
