Set seven years after the events of Trying Your Luck (and Falcon and the Winter Soldier). Bucky Barnes, his wife Shannon, and their son live a quiet life in Delacroix, Louisiana. Meanwhile, in Twin Falls, Idaho, a sinister ideology is expanding.

The Circle of Cain is an underground right-wing religious extremist group led by a former Super Solder named Zechariah Howell. Howell and his members are slowly building an army with the aim to topple the government and assassinate Captain America.

The only problem is, they need to remake the infamous serum.

NOTE: THIS IS A SEQUEL TO TRYING YOUR LUCK!!! These relationships and original characters are well-established. If you're encountering this for the first time and are confused, don't worry! You just have to go back and read 74 chapters (I'm so sorry 😂)

This is going to be a darker story than Trying Your Luck, but I will continue retain the humor and the light moments that people loved so much about the first fic, so don't worry, it won't be a total angst-fest. That being said, there will be more angst. And there will be mild Black Widow spoilers so if you haven't seen it... sorry 😬
