'Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, exhibit number one is what the seraphs, the misinformed, simple, noble-winged seraphs, envied. Look at this tangle of thorns.'

I have always loved this quote. I have always loved Lolita. How the cruellest things in the world often result in the most beautiful. How you can make the most disgusting things seem okay with just a few delicately chosen words. 'He cheated on me'. No, I think I prefer 'I was a watercolour. Easily washed off. But still beautiful, just with the right painter.' See? That's much better.

This is how I treat the poetry that I write: the beauty from the cruelty. The rose from the dirt. I hope you can find some solace in this, as I have done.
