Lan Wangji knows making friends isn't an easy feat. He never wanted to make friends in the first place.

So what is it about this odd group that makes him want to stay and never let go? Can it be the prudish, arrogant (awkward) but surprisingly highly unlucky Jin heir? Is it the cryptic artist who only serves to make Lan Wangji's life worse and sits his life away while everyone suffers? Is it the angry and overprotective loudmouth whom he got in a fist fight with over sleeping? Or is it the sweetheart of a curious boy whose own mystique rivals the actual mystery they face?

Lan Wangji only came to summer camp at the behest of his brother and uncle (and the worsening Gusu weather (and perhaps his father too)). He never expected to chase rabbit-holes and figure out his feelings, of all things.

Who'd have known that the rush of adolescence can be this exhausting? He's still sixteen, for goodness' sake!

(This fanfiction has dark undertones to it, but the first few chapters overall are fine; kind of like an introduction to the main characters. The pacing IS a bit slow, but we'll get there.)
