Mei Aihara is in charge. As the face of Azalea, the advertising firm she owns with her three best friends, it's important that she's poised, polished, and put together. However, as she watches her friends couple up and settle down, she wonders about her own happily ever after. One thing's for sure. It's not going to happen with that green-eyed bartender from Citrus. It's irritatingly clear they couldn't be more wrong for each other...or have more chemistry.
Yuzu Okogi wants nothing more than to keep her head down and craft a better life for herself running everyone's favorite nightspot. That means ignoring the groupies that flock to the bar to stare at her all night. However, an uptight noisette has snagged Yuzu's attention and she knows a challenge when she sees it.

This first features mainly Mei's POV. I've done my best to write Mei as I see her, being someone who is quietly very contemplative inwardly, all so she give short and to the point answers. Being somewhat uncomfortable with conversations, I imagine she might have a lot of personal challenges and I wanted to draw them out. Will Mei be able to make friends without incident? Do the members of the Aihara board of directors still have a ship on their shoulder for "The Heretical Witch"? Is Yuzu a serious student who can continue to dedicate herself to her studies for the sake of love? Well, you'll just have to read and find out! (Parts of this story have been planned and brainstorm way ahead of time. CITRUS ~ A Long Way From Home / Trust
Mei and Yuzu finally admit that they love each other. And their commitment to their love and relationship has never been better, but they're still learning. But during this time, in order to prove that Mei can handle business affairs, her grandfather sends her to a business conference in California as a test. But when a small problem occurs, Yuzu volunteers to accompany Mei to help out. As they travel together, Mei encounters problems within the business world while Yuzu is making mistakes while trying to help, which caused problems between them personally. Doubts start to affect them, especially towards each other. Can the two young lovers work together to complete Mei's tasks? Will this trip damage their relationship? Or will it make their love stronger? - - - - - - - - - - - Authors note: this story takes place sometime after the end of the manga "Citrus" chapter 41 AND the sequel manga "Citrus Plus", chapter 6.......
