Crispen Waters is just your everyday 18 year old. A good kid, well liked, has a close circle of friends and has always been a bright person. Shane Turner is Crispen’s oldest childhood friend, he’s everything you could want in a friend, trustworthy, loyal, fun. Shane lives alone with his sick Aunty. He has always been one to take a step back, take one for the team and always follow orders. Dean West is another of Crispen’s best friends. Dean’s loyal, caring and is the more athletic of the three, he has a big offer tabled for him from a professional football team. The world’s at his feet and he has everything going for him. The three make an unstoppable trio, nothing could possibly get in the way of them. In comes Cruz Rodriguez, the secretive, shy, anti-social, keeps to himself type of guy. He doesn’t have many friends but once you see the better of him, he’s got a heart of gold. He’s got a dark burdened past and is very protective of what little he has. The fantastic four have almost completed their last ever exams, with only three exams remaining, they all have the rest of their lives ahead of them and a whole world just waiting for them to discover. An exciting future ahead. The boys head to national park and Australian treasure, Wilsons Promontory for some down time before they head their separate ways. The boys like all boys do, meet new friends during the summer, find romance, face challenges they could never dream of, friendships are tested and they are thrown the biggest curveball of their lives when they find out, what has just hit Australia and maybe even the world. It will be a summer they will always remember and struggle to forget. This is their story. 13 years of schooling never taught us any of this? Let me wake up!
