Sage Agustus is 19 years old and was born with the ability to control the element of fire. In Iveterra, everyone is bestowed the gift of one element by the goddess Elise, but not the keepers of the mist blade. They control all elements.

Hidden past the frozen forest in the rocky mountains that are surrounded by a layer of mist that plays with one's mind is the keeper's sanctuary. While keepers switch places every two years by the command of the goddess, their sanctuary stays stagnant. 

Sage must journey into the mountains and steal the blade from the current keeper. Why? The keeper who bestowed the blade nine years ago used the blade to murder her father. Sage must hunt him down and use the mist blade to end his life. 

That is if the current tragically handsome and wicked keeper doesn't kill her first.
