Would you rather live forever, or die in 2 hours?

Mirakote Terrancy is a small village hidden in the shadow of a mountain, the sacred Mount Augume. It's plain. It's unexciting. Its people have nothing driving them on but the end of their lives. 
But one day, a mysterious boy on top of the mountain, who becomes know as the "mountain god" offers them a chance to rewrite everything: they can either live forever, or die in 2 hours.
The countdown begins for everyone to choose their fate - who will leave and who will stay?
From the perspectives of several different residents of this formerly mundane town, the people that chose to live explore just why they chose that, and learn more about the value and the meaning of life.
But is this what that "mountain god" had intended them to do?
