Nico just started his freshman year in Yancy Academy and already the bullies are targeting him. Just his luck.
On top of that, he's dealing with the loss of his whole family and lives alone with his only known living relative, his cousin, Charlotte who takes care of him. He's suffering from depression, but fortunately Charlotte's been helping with that. Generally his life is dull until he meets Percy Jackson, captain of the swimming team and friendliest face in school.
