From the main perspective of the young boy, Elijah Lancaster, moves to a new place, a new city, and a new school. Everything was so sudden and quick that he was unable to finish his last year of high school with his friends. After moving, Elijah did not care about a lot, even to go as far as to be so uncaring about finishing school at even the worst high schools. When his parents take his education into their own hands, sending him to a completely different school as his two younger siblings, Elijah starts to realize that he may not hate this school as much as he originally thought he would. It wasn't about the oddity of constant teachers or even the students that roamed about in the halls. It was about one girl and her odd group of friends that made him feel like he could finish that school year with them, and maybe even have more when school was over.
