Jill and Zoe are both juniors in Reston High School. 

Jill Abbot is a blue-haired lesbian with an energetic, bisexual best friend named Sydney. This year Jill and Sydney make a promise to try and get their crushes to like them back. 

Zoe Keaton may seem like the classic rich girl, raised in a demanding, preppy family and dealing with depression, but she's a little different. She has to deal with her abusive father and ignorant family but she decides that this is her year and that she has to find a way to fix her familial issues.

Throughout this story the girls will be figuring out how to deal with family and trying to get the girl. Will this be the best year ever for them, or the worst?
