Jacqueline Sloane and Jethro Gibbs have always had a connection. They've always clicked. They viewed the world very similarly and they were just so alike in many ways.
Neither had ever admitted it but there was a spark between them. The spark lit the moment that they'd met. They didn't know then that they'd later fall in love with each other.
Love wasn't the problem though. The problem was that they didn't know how to tell each other about their feelings. For Gibbs, it was every relationship he'd ever had. Everyone he'd ever gotten close to, had gotten hurt. Gibbs had one fear, he was scared of something happening to the people he cared most about in this world.
For Jack, it was the moment that haunted her to this day. Her last relationship was abusive and she was raped, resulting in a baby that she had to put up for adoption, for a better life, when she was only eighteen. Even though it was so long ago, she was scared of this happening again.
This relationship haunted her everyday. She had so many nightmares about it. These nightmares resulted in suicidal thoughts and self-harm. Because of this, Jack decides to step away from her job at NCIS.
Will Gibbs tell Jack about his feelings before it's too late? What will happen between Jack and Gibbs? What will happen to their Christmas celebrations? And more importantly, will Jack be able to escape her past traumas and PTSD?
