That was the exact time you took your last breath.

Your blood dripping from my fingertips, the smell of your cologne still wafting in the air and your body lifeless and dull on our once snow white carpeted floor. I dropped to my knees, my eyes stinging with the tears as I kissed you tenderly, tasting your lips for what I refused to believe would be the last time that I would feel my skin against yours.

I gripped your body as tight as your hands would grip around my neck and cut off my air supply ever so often, wishing it was me who was laying there, beautiful and still with no life left in them. Please don't go, don't go Tremaine.

I was the one who deserved to die. I was the one who deserved to be in jail and suffer for the rest of my life. Not even for what I had done- but for all the things I had thought about doing to you, if I had the opportunity. And now, there I was.

Catching an involuntary manslaughter charge ain't shit to play with.

Unless it's your last choice.

This was the only choice you'd had ever given me. In 16 years, the first and only time that I could make a decision about how something was going to go, how something was going to play out and I went for it without a second thought as soon as I could.

2:22. Somehow, I just knew in that moment, I must've been in the right place at the right time.
