Woohoo Joe here! This idea came to mind randomly and like went "wouldn't it be funny if Madeleine tried dark magic but it went horribly wrong and I made an angst fanfic about it. I think it would be funny."

An AU where Espresso was raised with the Cookies Of Darkness. Since he was merely a child, Espresso's one and only desire was to prove his worth to Dark Enchantress, his mother. He and his siblings were taught to despise the Vanilla Kingdom and its inhabitants, sparking an endless war between the light and the dark. Madeleine is a paladin of the Divines, the Vanilla Kingdom's knight commander and savior, and almost immediately he is intrigued by the coffee mage on the opposing side.
