Tommy lives in a world where powers were either a blessing or a curse. Depends on how the world looks at you for it. The ability to kill got you sent to jail whether or not you have killed before or ever plan too. The ability to stop time made you ideal for becoming a doctor so you can slow down time and potentially save a life. No abilities made you a disgrace, from everyone, even your parents. No kid born without either is unacceptable, cause it only happens every like million years. Makes the kid themselves, a freak by society's standards. Late bloomers are more common though, since the blessing or curse develops to match your personality. So Tommy was bond for a truly dangerous ability to match such a dangerous personality ... Right?

Tommy had an amazing life. He was growing as a content creator and he lived in a home with two lovely parents and his dog. But one day he got a call saying his parents died in a crash and he'd be taken away to an orphanage. By the time he was sixteen he easily kept up the act that he still had his family but it was getting harder for the boy. The same questions were repeated in his head as the world seemed to throw challenge upon challenge at him; Will it ever get better? Can I find a home? Where is home? • • • This story will take place in America since that is where I live and I can easily base things off of what I know and change things around like where everyone lives. Wilbur was a hero, the second best hero to be exact. And it was his job to protect everyone that resided in his beloved city. Everything was perfect for the hero, he had a lovely father and two brothers, he had his friends, and he even had a boyfriend who he loved more than life itself! Wilbur loved his work to keep his city safe, but there was always someone trying to prevent that. Sometimes it was large villains who killed and killed, other times it was a simple thief. Sometimes, it was a shapeshifting villain who liked scarring others and ruining lives. Sometimes it was a villain who helped unlock hidden powers yet was insane enough to fight in a burning, collapsing building. Because that night, Wilbur fought alongside a way-too-young-and-way-too-familiar vigilante and his family against a famous villain with an ability so powerful it seemed fake. The world was never have been ready for Shift in the first place, Shift was the villain who's identity was so secret no one had a single lead to go attempt to catch them. In a forgotten world full of heroes, villains, and vigilantes, a world that had neither a good or bad ending, or maybe no ending at all. Who knows? We Could Be Heroes, Big Man
Tommy grew up in the foster system, crazy right? Not really. What was crazy was how he was literally a superhuman, and even more crazy, the foster system found out and he was sent to a private boarding school. Yeah the boarding school wasn't normal either. He was surrounded by others with superhuman abilities. It was beyond what he was used to, but he finally found his home. Which, he didn't get to stay at for very long due to external issues. Yeah he had to fight some crazy maniacs with superhuman abilities who thought they were some kind of god out of Percy Jackson. - Story is currently being edited but author here is not very proud of how this book turned out. However, many have enjoyed, so I appreciate all of you :)Complete
