Alyssa Clark has been thought to be insane her whole life. Even as a child everyone thought she was crazy.

Talking to people that weren't there and not being able to tell the difference between those who are dead or alive really did make people suspicious of her. Some thought she was a witch, others just thought she was plain crazy.

But death had chosen her to listen to those who couldn't be heard. She was chosen to become a listening ear for those who had suffered. Alyssa didn't mind, she had always been a great listener after all.

But when one person finally believes she isn't crazy the two of them stick together. Jackie had her own secret, when she fell asleep she saw things no one should have been able to know.

Alyssa and Jackie ran away from their terrible life and headed to forks Washington where they try and start a new life. A new chance at the life they had always dreamed of.
