Valerie is a shiny Xerneas, also heir to her mother's throne.
Though these two are warring Pokémon, they combat the tradition and become friends. Can they successfully bring their groups to peace?
Meanwhile, a disaster is waiting to strike, and someone watches from the shadows...

All they cause is useless self-destruction and pain, but the good thing about them is that they can hide some ugly part of you that you don't want to show to the world. They're always a step down from what you think they'd be, always a notch lower than expectations, and always a lie to hide from the reality around us. ...of course, there are those that can see through those masks too, and it's supposed that Arceus created these humans to keep the world's sanity. That's all Avis wishes for, because it's nearly impossible to find any semblance of peace in this midst of war and chaos. To him, that's staying alone; staying out of others' business, and for the first seventeen years of his life, he's done that pretty well. § Avis can only hide in the shadow of his twin brother's strength, stranded in a country ravaged by war and destruction--and he tries to live his life in the darkness peacefully. So Ruby helps her get one, which also inspires him to go on a journey as well with his Pokedex. Sapphire finally leaves, but she has to lay low so her father won't catch her. There are some gym leaders who are too busy to battle, don't want to battle, and are just too tough. To make matters worse, Team Magma and Aqua are causing trouble just to save the world? One of the team's leader even wants her to join them, but why? Also, who is the ally who is most willing to help her? For Sapphire, she will face many foes, family, and friends, old and new, on her journey, pushing her past her limits for power. Can she do it?
