People have been assuming that Melanie Chambers was the stereotypical
hood girl all her life. But she defies those odds when she gets accepted
to Madison University one of the top HBCU's in the country. What
Melanie doesn't know is that getting into MU was the easy part. When she
gets there alcohol, drugs, and sex is all she sees and often times she
forgets why she is there in the first place. Not to mention, her
on-again-off-again boyfriend Jamal is still partially in the picture.
Melanie lands herself in a world of trouble when she finds herself
falling for the campus drug dealer, Knight. Will Melanie make it through
