I don't really intend to publish this - it's the base for what's probably going to be a film, if I can get the main characters to stop jabbering at each other. My friend at school told me he was writing a book called this but didn't know what it was going to be about, so I said "why don't we both write a version of it and then compare them to see what we each did differently," so this is it! This story is about a man called max who dies in an accident and finds himself on a giant spaceship. Where a select few go to look eternally for the gem of thunder, and nobody has obtained it yet. This book is getting a rewrite! I am not satisfied with how it turned out, and it needs reworking for me to finish off the storyline.

Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species. But after consideration, they don't see the harm in sending one. And realise it might be their only chance.
