When I'm not writing, I teach writing. For three years I was the course director for creative writing at the University of Leicester. I've given guest lectures and seminars at universities across the UK, including University of Nottingham, De Montfort and Loughborough. I read and review hundreds of books a year for my regular column with The Guardian. As a special gift to Wattpaders, I'm publishing here a series of special features on writing, editing and publishing your book.

Seen all the good memories with you and your friends and loved ones just pass in a few split seconds before the moment comes where you know you'll die? Where you determine if it's going to be a quick or slow and painful death? Well then, same. I risk my life on a daily bases saving others, strangers, kids, families, anyone my team and I can help ranging from terrorist attacks to bombs to pretty much anything. This is the second book in the Hitman series, it can be read as a standalone but you'll understand characters a bit better if you read 'Falling for a Hitman' first. Get hooked on the fast paced, heart racing action, and fall for the romance. The second I heard her say my name I knew I was in too deep. I knew I'd do everything in my power to protect her. When her ex came to town I made sure to do just that. When she finished her shower that first night in my home, I fell for her. Never in a million years did I think love at first sight existed but dammit was I wrong. I have nightmares, I ran far to get away from my ex. I never thought he would find me after I changed my name and moved 1500 miles away from my hometown. When he whispered in my ear I thought I was going to die right there in the middle of the dance floor. Luckily I had big strong tattooed arms to fall into, and I never wanted to leave that embrace. I had this idea last night after a few drinks, a pounding headache, and an excessive amount of throat lozenges. In order to inspire me to write more often than I currently do, I am planning to write a new post every day and publish it, allowing me to rant about whatever is on my mind. Anything goes with this story. Maybe I will talk about something deep and metaphysical about the meaning of human existence, or rant about why my life sucks and how I prefer iced tea over hot tea. Anything goes. This is just an inspiration to allow me to write SOMETHING every single day of the year. Hopefully I can keep up.... If I end up deleting this story, I guess you'll know that I failed. Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing.
