"I never wanted this- I never wanted you." I spat out at Xavier. His face crumpled up in anguish as he walked closer towards me. A part of me wanted to give in; to hold him and remove that look of pain from his face. But I couldn't - he wasn't mine to comfort, he wasn't mine to love. His voice came out strained as he placed a hand under my chin, forcing me to look up at him. Multiple emotions ran through me at once as I stared into his eyes. Fear. Longing. Sadness. Before I could think of moving further away, he moved in one swift motion and pressed a heated kiss against my mouth. I sighed against his mouth as salty tears ran down my face. One thought raged louder than any other.

"I hate this damn author."
