The Weir Legacy (Working title)

Shipping billionaire, Thomas Wareing lives next door to his ex-wife, Jennifer. Their three daughters have all left home except they will all return this weekend in the lead up to a big party. Thomas is launching a new electric cruiser, but the weather is going to scupper that. Adam Rennik has digs in one of the large attic rooms. He is a contractor working out of HMNB Portsmouth, the home of the British Navy.
Deaths and disputes have gone hand in hand with Thomas's life. He has secrets, ones that he has kept hidden for over fifty years. Shady dealings, violence, abuse and numerous love affairs are going to bring about consequences he would rather keep hidden.
Lord Cranston Weir is Jennifer's father, but she believes he is dead. When she finds out, everyone else will know she sleeps with Adam but there is more at stake than that. Cranston has one brother and a sister, Ruth Weir is the surviving matriarch, who also has secrets. One of them is Thomas. The brother is missing and believed to be dead, too. Cranston and his Will have been found. The trusted friend and advisor to international governments died a long way from home and there is a lot of unease within the British government. A condition of the Will is that Jennifer has to be married for her to claim her inheritance which puts a lot of strain on everyone in the family, and their lodgers. Adam's family are also being threatened.
