Silvia Davison lives with her father Mark McDonald, her mother Louise Davison and her younger brother Mathew McDonald. Silvia has been very lonely and despondent due to her unfortunate past. The negative effects that her past brings makes her get bad grades at school, her parents are always shouting at her and she feels the only way out of her misery is drugs and alcohol.

But one day the drinking becomes too much and she is forced by her parents to go to the Centre Point Youth Club "for teenagers with troubled lives".
But will 'Centre Point' make her life any better, or perhaps worse? And, what types of new people will she meet?
