"Sometimes it takes someone else to make you realize just how special you are." Odette has always been an oddity who longs to fit in, and a boy named Graham who has always fitted into society yearns to break out. When Odette steps into Graham's parents' quirky cafe-turned-record-store called Papercuts, their worlds collide in the worst and best ways possible. "And sometimes, papercuts may not always sting, they might help the wound that formed before, with a magic of their own."

Marley Taylor may seem like a semi-normal girl to outsiders, but she has some things she doesn't reveal to others. At home, her parents force her to forfeit her phone until school the next day, she has to come straight home after school every day, while on the weekends, she has to be home at 7 pm, and she is not, under any circumstances, allowed to have any bit of contact with a boy. Marley has followed all of her parents' rules since she was a little girl, but when the new boy Rowan Sawyer ends up in her psychology class, breaking the rules doesn't seem like the worst idea anymore. He'll just have to be her little secret.
