In an alternate universe where the characters of the anime/manga are samurai and/or swordsmen, "For One Night" takes place a few days after the official announcement of the end of the war (the villages involved in the conflict - Konoha, Suna and Iwa - they had signed an armistice), with the consequent return of the combatants to their respective villages.
