"Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,"
declares the Lord.

Chúa phán như sau:
"Người khôn chớ khoe về sự khôn ngoan mình.
Người mạnh chớ khoe về sức lực mình.
Người giàu chớ khoe về của cải mình.
Nhưng ai muốn khoe thì hãy khoe rằng
mình hiểu biết Chúa.
Hãy khoe rằng ta là Chúa,
và rằng ta nhân từ và công bằng,
làm điều phải trên đất.
Khoe như thế làm vừa lòng ta," Chúa phán vậy.
