The Schaden

Space is full of wonders, some are evil and some are kind
but when you go searching be careful what you find.
There are cosmic treasures waiting everywhere,
with danger in every corner killing off the unaware.
Like you feeble humans who've barely learned to talk,
living menial existences on the planet you walk.
We are so remarkable and you are so much less,
you can do nothing so we may as well confess.
We do not fear you so for what it's worth,
for the last 10,000 years we've been watching you: Earth.
