The story follows my OC and US Marine Gabrielle Foster.

At the end of the Iraq War, Special Forces hunting for weapons of mass destruction unearth something far deadlier than what they expected, a buried Sumerian temple containing a nest of ancient and unearthly creatures. In order to survive, they must forge an alliance with their enemies from the world above.

Once again, like the title says, there will be major spoilers for House of Ashes here. If you haven't completed or watched the game yet and care about spoilers, I highly recommend going and doing that first before reading this fic.

NOTE - Both of my notes from my first AxeTale Story, "AxeTale - The Full Story" apply here, this is my own take on the AxeTale AU so there are some differences and the other being I am not big on the Frans part of AxeTale, but it is an important part of it, and they're both of age in this AU, so I will write it accordingly NOTE 2 - This is a prequel to my first AxeTale Book, so it will be connected to that one and lead into the events of The Full Story, you can either read this book first or second and still get the full picture Before The Story of Aliza... There was the story of Frisk... A human woman who fell underground and changed monsterkind forever... When the time came to break the barrier and save monsterkind from their confined prison... She couldn't do it... The only way to do it, was to sacrifice her own soul... And open the barrier that way... But Frisk couldn't bring herself to do it... She was too terrified of death... So she stayed underground with the monsters... With the death of the King to the malicious Flowey, the souls being locked away, Dr. Alphys trying her best to find an alternative way to break the barrier, and Queen Toriel returning to be in power... Frisk has a lot on her plate... Thankfully... She has people who will be beside her along the way... But this isn't just the story of Frisk.... This is the story of her lover... The monster she had dedicated her life to being with.... And how this all proved to become quite difficult for not just these two... But the entirety of monsterkind.... 67 parts Complete

A jealous, vengeful goddess. A ruined land. A woman alone, desperate to survive. When the goddess Kogoren was betrayed by one of her worshipers, she took out her rage on her realm. In her righteous anger, she shattered the continent, raised razor-sharp mountains from the earth, and turned clear streams into burning rivers of molten stone. Fire rained from the sky and ashes blanketed cities and fields. The eruption of the Queen's Crest, Kogoren's holy mountain, killed every one of her priests. The world ended that day. Kogoren's people prayed. They wept. And when no help nor mercy came, they were lost. The Cataclysm was many years ago, before Sarka was born. The broken land and the hopeless people who survived it are all Sarka has ever known. No one speaks of the goddess now; her dark legacy is a shadow over the starved realm that still bears her name, a place where the best one can hope for is to survive the day. One day, a brush with death grants Sarka tragic clarity: if she stays in Kogoren, she will live a half-life punctuated with danger, hunger, and pain. What if there is a world out there beyond the reach of the goddess who left her children to die? Cover by @Abyss-of-Crazy
