Wings of Fire: Lemming's Story by Echoes_of_Polaris

NOTE: The following is a fanfiction inspired by Tui T Sutherland's "Wings of Fire" saga. "Wings of Fire" does not belong to me, and much of the material included in this story is fanon, not canon, though several canon characters will be making appearances throughout the story. Taking place during the events of "Book 1: The Dragonet Prophesy" and the War of SandWing Succession, this is the story of Lemming. Lemming is a young IceWing of middle class rank, who has been a loyal soldier on Blaze's side in the war for a couple years. She's small for an IceWing of her age, but has been able to use this to her advantage to become a successful soldier and survive in the war. However, after a battle takes a turn for the worse, Lemming is left as one of the few survivors and imprisoned in the SkyWing arena. This new world is more brutal than the battles she'd fought in the war, and the SkyWings don't kill for necessity -they kill for entertainment. Can Lemming survive in this new kill or be killed world, or will she be just another body to be swept from the arena sand? NOTE 2: Some of the wording and phrasing of Pt4 comes straight from "The Dragonet Prophesy". That wording was created by Tui T. Sutherland, not me, though I am using it for descriptive purposes in those specific scenes, which first appeared in "The Dragonet Prophesy". All chapter cover artwork made and designed by me. (Contains violence) The war has started between the tribes. It is Shardseeker's Hatching Day. He celebrates it, though he didn't think he would. He then flies to a hidden place where the stones are kept. He goes off to find the stone, but he'll need help. Fennec is a timid Sandwing. She is desperate to prove her worth. She goes to find the stone when she isn't an adult yet. There are quite a talonful of cons that Fennec has to go through. Will she be alive and bring the stone back to the cave, or will she be replaced when she dies alone? Siren has been quite sad without Shardseeker by her side. She has always thought that he had died when he left Siren for two years. So she has been in a bad mood for those years. But, when Shardseeker returns to her, she is overjoyed to see him alive, but danger rises when all of the stones are collected. That danger is a threat to all of dragonkind. Will Siren and her team be able to stop the threat before it destroys the world, or will it be too late to do anything? (This story is basically 3 shorter stories that connect sorta.)
