Stainless is a widespread group of metals. Its name was generated by the term of steel alloys that had a minimum of 10.5% chromium content in it. The stainless feature of stainless steel is due to the chromium and also it makes the steel corrosion-resistant. 
A very thin layer of the chromium-rich oxide layer is developed on the surface of the metal. The layer acts as protection against rust and keeps the metal safe. Stainless steel is used for developing a variety of products like tubes, stainless steel pipes, and fittings, marine equipment, etc.
