"Aapi?"
She looked up with questioning eyes, obviously having not paid attention to the conversation around her. Sameera smiled softly at her.
"Do you think it's easy? Falling in love?"
"I wouldn't know, but I believe it truly depends on people. Sometimes all it takes is a second and sometimes even forever isn't enough"
"Then I think it would take forever for you"
Arameh chuckled knowing where the statement came from.
"I mean , no offense, you aren't someone everyone is fond of here."
"But you still cling to me."
"Yes, and I still thank Allah that I truly know you for the beautiful human you are," she said smiling, "but people aren't patient aapi, they will not wait for you or imagine the goodness in you. These days, people have the habit of imagining the worst in people. They will not stay long enough for you to be able to trust them and show them your qualities, the qualities that you consider your vulnerability."
"But do I really need someone? God knows me for who I am. I believe thats enough."
"Aapi, Allah created us humans with a yearning. We think we are strong but as the years go by, we yearn for that special someone. Someone who'd be there with us at all times. Someone with whom our journey will be forever, even in Jannah."

Ask Arameh about the things she feels are difficult to do and she would say that it's staying alive. She constantly feels like everything around her is suffocating. All she wants is a warm embrace to calm her down. A voice filled with love and care. But dreaming of things like this seems futile to her.
