Ben Harty,a 14 year old teen from Witchita Falls,Texas moves to Coffeyville,Kansas after his dad was tragically murdered.He fell into a deep depression.He's on the point of breaking and there's almost no hope until he meets Lydia,a girl in his new school and a bright light.She immediately becomes friends with Ben.As there friendship progresses he tells her his story and why he moved.Finally but slowly he starts to heal because of Lydia,Because she helped him realize he wasn't alone and the world wasn't against him and was there for him in his darkest hours.Everything is  going good until Ben starts getting bullied and he'd already been through a lot so he starts to self harm and Lydia try's to help until....
