"There was an idea... the idea was to bring together a group of of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could."

A few teenagers end up at the wrong (or maybe right) places at the wrong times. And they became something more.

TWs/Content Warnings: things that happen in the MCU, lots of hurt/comfort, commentary on current/past events (sometimes subtle-ish, sometimes not), shipping, trauma, you know the drill if you're in either fandom-
Disclaimer: I don't own Marvel or the Hermits (since they're- y'know- personas of actual people-), or any other characters you may recognize from outside sources. However, this story is our own and we're allowed to take some creative liberties. If you have any questions, fire away, and have fun!

"Each world has its own story. Even if you tried to get a story from me, I wouldn't be able to tell you half of it. There is so much life in each build and block, and each event has told their own tale. But it has to start somewhere." Fate has the oddest ways of getting people together. It might tear your world apart as you know it. It might give you loss and grief. It might even show you a side that you never knew you had. But it does all this for a reason. What is that reason? Well... You'll have to find out. This is the origin of how Hermitcraft came to be. Just remember-- Every end of a story is a new beginning for another. - Some information before you start the story: - This story takes place before Hermitcraft officially started, so maybe 7-8 years ago or so. - Despite this, though, the world is set in 1.13/1.14. - If you die, it's permanent. There are no respawn mechanisms. - The backstories for each character are based around events that happened in Season 6, which might not be relevant in seasons to come. - The total word count for this story is 49,001. It was originally published on October 16, 2019. - I try to mention each Hermit at least once, but I might have missed some. DISCLAIMER: This book does hint at a bit of shipping. I write ships based on the Hermits' Minecraft personas and not their actual IRL selves. None of this content is meant to offend anyone, it's purely a writing hobby. If any of the Hermits find any of my content disrespectful or uncomfortable, I have no problem in taking it down. With all that being said, enjoy the story!

There is the exaggerated thump of feet on the sand as if the owner of said feet had crashed harder than he intended. I hear the rasp of a sword drawn from an inventory and the clash of diamond sword on diamond sword, as well as Doc swearing. It's the one person I was both hoping to see and trying to avoid at all costs. My twin brother... Xisuma Void. Welcome to that EX fanfiction that is coming straight at you from my strange brain. I got inspired by reading a ton of other books about EX. EX in this fanfic is a born female and straight. Just to make it clear. If there's anything else I need to explain, then hit me in the comments or hermittpad discord. Don't do it literally though, I'm begging you. TWs: Blood, gore, bad depression, and strong angst. If these need to be updated, let me know. I'm not good at identifying triggers. Keep yourselves safe, my friends. /-\/-\/-\/-\/-\ denotes a transition in the story to a flashback, different time, or anything else, but the POV will stay the same. =+=+=+= denotes a change of POV. I try to write in 1st person all of the time, but we may get some 3rd person if needed (fight scenes) Feel free to leave spontaneous declarations, editing comments, or anything else in the comments. I enjoy reading them very much and they help me grow as a writer. Cover drawn by me :D
