By the time he finally captured what seemed to be the last one, the sun had already risen, and he was beyond tired. He sluggishly made his way back home to dispose of the last few ghosts into the Fenton portal before collapsing back onto his bed. He had to be up for school in not even 15 minutes to get there by 8 a.m.
'Just 5 minutes of rest. That's all I need.' Danny thinks as he closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep.
Some time passes and 5 minutes turns into 30.

No matter how much control and strength a person has, sleep will always manage to catch up, but what happens when Danny falls asleep and he is still in ghost mode?

A New Beginning
Humans don't understand how someone can be both dead and alive, and that fact scares them, it opens up the possibility of a threat even if there is no evidence of malevolent intent. So, the only solution in the minds of humanity is to dominate and subjugate the unknown variable until it no longer has even the potential to be a threat. They choose to pretend that the unknown variable is lesser, that humanity is superior on no other grounds than that it's humanity. Danny had been stuck with the G.I.W for years when the Young Justice team rescued him. Broken, beaten, and none the wiser of the greater majority of humans, the humans with kindness in their eyes and light in their souls. He's been trapped in the darkness of greed and fear and violence for far too long, and what's left behind is a fractured mind and a trained weapon. Buried underneath that, however, is a young child who is scared and confused, a child that hasn't seen the light of day in years. That child never expected to see the bright side to existence, to see the light shine in the souls of the righteous. That all changed with one group of heroes, and one family of Bats. Two weeks after the Disasteroid incident, Danny Fenton's having the time of his life. Not. Of course, he and Sam are doing great, but it's the whole "the world knows who I am" thing that's got him on edge. Not just that, Clockwork discovers that Dark Danny escaped from the Fenton Thermos he was trapped in. As Danny, Sam and Tucker troll the Ghost Zone for him, Danny gets sucked into a strange portal which lets him into an alien universe, home to an 8oo year old ninja. I own nothing but the plot. I'm a huge fan of both series and I grew up with Danny Phantom. Vote and comment, please. If this gets enough attention the series may come back for a season 4 of DP. There! That's the Ghost Who's Been Stealing My Shit!
(THIS STORY IS FINISHED! IF A STORY IS MARKED AS COMPLETED, ITS COMPLETED. STOP ASKING FOR A CONTINUATION) Imagine Danny goes to college in Gotham. Given his halfa nature, he's fairly not worried about most parts of Gotham and given he needs less sleep now, he likes to wander campus and Gotham itself like he's a natural Gothathes...at night like the half dead-half living man he was. During these wanderings, he finds pieces of bat tech from fights. He figures it's safer in his care(and because he's really curious about the local vigilantes) so...he takes it. It's usually just tiny things that the bats- probably -wouldn't even notice gone and he has things to fiddle with now. Unfortunately(for the bats), he finds Red Hood's destroyed helmet and takes it back to his dorm to fix, figuring it would allow him to return most of the items he snatched without a second thought. He doesn't realize it has an active tracker in it so the bats, when they activate it and discover it on the Gotham University campus, reasonably panic and flip on the camera...only to come face to face with adoption bait using bits of their missing tech to fix the helmet. Danny and White had a hard enough time keeping their secret in the human world. But now their class is going on a field trip right into the belly of the beast, the Ghost Zone. Danny will have to make double sure to keep his ghost half secret while White works to keep his siren powers in check.
