"Matcha?" Yuki called out again, her voice slightly raspy. She went over to their bedroom, putting her ear to the door. The faint smell of cigarettes filled the apartment.
"Matcha," Yuki said sympathetically, "Hey, what's wrong?" She opened the door to find Matcha curled up on the ground, head burrowed between her knees and a cigarette in hand.
As Yuki sat down next to Matcha, she looked in the other direction, taking a second before looking at Yuki. Yuki put her hand on Matcha's cold cheek. Her eyes were filled with tears and their face was pale.
