"I call upon the warriors of the past, those who would stand up and fight, those who would do what is needed, those who would make sacrifices on behalf of others, those who would die that others may live. I call upon them this night to give me strength of heart, soul, and spirit."

Another breath in and Astra was running. She didn't notice the group who'd finally arrived, witnessing her run.

"Oh," Grace and Graham started.

"My," Ryan and Yaz continued.

"Goddess," the blonde in Victorian clothing finished, staring up at the brunette in awe.

"Who is she?" Graham asked. Everyone had been taken in by the blonde and her mysterious energy, falling through the train roof. But no one looked at the young woman who was so good at what the older one did.

A grin pulled at new lips and the woman answered to the best of her ability: "The first face this face saw." But not even she knew who Astra was fully.

Nebula Astrea Mikaelson-Laughlin was born of a witch and a hybrid. Her mother had no magic, but her father had enough left over for for the entire family. Raised away from her mother's one night stand, Astra (as she calls herself) works for her will-be step-father, acknowledging the suffering which would likely follow her across the planet. Recruiting, though, sends her on a journey she never could have expected.

"I already killed your mother, Cam." As the words left my enemy's mouth like a mocking sneer, I growled under my breath at the mention of my old name. Memories started to boil up that I had been wanting to squash deep into my heart. Bad memories. "As you can guess, I'm here to finish the job." He continued with that ever-present sinister smirk on his face. And in that moment, a sudden burst of confidence just appeared within me. Or blatant stupidity. 'I'll take either one.' I silently admitted to myself. I rolled my eyes at his so-called 'threat', not really intimidated in the least. "Yeah, like that went so well the first time. The first time, you fucked up enough to get caught by the police." I pointed out. "The second time, your grown-ass men got their asses handed to them by two teenagers." I snorted at him. "Your odds aren't looking too good here, Berti." ~•~ Losing her father? Lovely. Getting in a car accident with her aunt, uncle, and cousin and being the sole survivor? Fantastic. Losing her mother because a deranged psychopath holds a grudge even better than The Grinch? Amazing. Being ostracized from her own family save from her paternal grandparents, and getting the blame for her mother's death? Cherry on top of the cake. Having to make sure three idiotic twats don't get themselves killed because they couldn't mind their own bloody business? Bloody hell, that's an entire ice cream cake with ten pounds of gummy bears. ~•~ Join Grace Stanton as she faces her demons and the demons of her past all while trying not to commit murder against her three new friends. I could hear her heart race and her breath get heavy. When she looked up at me, I saw tears run down her red cheeks. She flipped over onto her back and crawl away from me. I stood over her and I laughed at her helpless state. "I know a thousand ways to hurt you without spilling a drop of your blood. So, you either come quietly or in pain. Your choice?" I heard her cry and watched her tears stain her face. I almost wish Nik was here to see her cry in fear, it is so entertaining. Suddenly, I felt something pierce through my chest. My eyes widened. I gasped out in pain. My hands went to my heart. I inhaled some air quickly. I felt myself grow weak like I was falling to the ground. I was surprised that I was on the floor. I looked down at my hands. They had turned gray. I felt lifeless. The veins in my body rose to the top of my skin while the gray covered everything. The last thought I had before the end was one name. Nik? _________________________________________________________ Dawn Gilbert has just lost her parents. The Myth - The Fading Eden by KatarzynaGawronska1

According to one of myths in the Universe, the God of Chaos, Azahar, united with the mother of stars, Thilija. From the merging of darkness and light, their daughter Shelaya was born, who, as a demigoddess, was granted the unique gift of creation from the Source of Being-a neon river of magical essence. Shelaya created Eden. This secluded place in the Universe became their happy sanctuary until Thilija's death. Seeing her mother's light fade away in Azahar's arms, Shelaya, in despair, fled into Space-Time, haunted by the thought that her father was to blame for Thilija's death. Meanwhile, Eden began to wither, slowly turning into a barren wasteland, consuming every spark of energy in its path like a plague. Tired of running, Shelaya established the Crystal Kingdom, ruled by strict laws of order, obedience, and lack of empathy. People, granted access to the Source of Being, became ideal warriors and healers; men wielded magical flame and were immune to pain, while women received healing abilities. Each blessing from the Spirit of Milites enhanced their powers but also tightened the bonds on their souls. The Kingdom, surrounded by a high mountain chain, was completely sealed off from the outside world and the faithless. Inquisitors and Priestesses sent on crusades, burning the submission to Queen Shelaya into the hearts of the uninitiated. However, beneath the seemingly happy and prosperous Kingdom, a rebellion against her rule was brewing. The unfolding war between Darkness and Light, ruthless lawfulness, and the freedom of the heart inevitably drew in the main characters: Emir Cavalleys, an ambitious low-born Guardian; Seku Val'Larnez, a prince of a powerful Elven house; and Nicola Smith, a 28-year-old from rural Canada. Tasked with saving the Universe threatened by the spreading wasteland, they set out for the Crystal Kingdom.
