'Twas the night before Christmas all on my own. Not a warm heart beating since mine was turned to stone. The clouds filled the air not a star in the sky. In my own fortress of solitude without you I wonder why? Instead of decking the halls with holiday cheer. I think of past memories far and near. Thinking of your smile which was disarming. Thinking of the time I wanted to be your Prince Charming. I put a shroud over the lonely with a simple smile. Little did I know taking a risk would be worthwhile. Now I sit in front of the fire wishing you were here. I log online and wish a Merry Christmas to all, and to all a new year.

It all started on a day definitely too hot to be a mid-December day, I was in my house in California with my family, ready, perhaps not quite, to celebrate the Christmas holidays with my relatives, knowing they would make it a damn hell.
