In a world where all have markings showing their personalities, a few special people don't agree with the path assigned for them. But society looked down upon those who didn't follow their mark, so these few hid their real personalities from the world, putting up a barrier to keep others happy.

But were these people happy themselfs? No. In fact, most absolutely despised what they made themselves become. How does this affect two teens who just wanted to love each other?

This idea was from a role play me and my online friend did! Most of the plot is from the role play but I changed some of it! Espresso and Madeleine are dating for majority of the story. When I say majority, I mean like after a few chapters of the book, maybe two or three chapters. They are a very happy couple, there were many ups and downs and obstacles during their relationship. They both have abusive parents, Espresso's parents abused him and would hit him while Madeleine's father would call him names and slap him sometimes. Espresso's ex also comes into the story for a bit. Dark Enchantress is their main enemy for throughout the story. Will they be able to stick together, or will one of them perish along the way? Read the book to find out! BTW, this story is made for fun so I don't expect people to read it!
